KICKS !

We all know that sneakers are a big thing in the world. Everyone wheres them, but what we don't realize is how much of a big part they are in the music business. Sneakers can be more than a style but they can also say something about the person wearing them. They can also be apart of someones life and they can also sometime show us that persons unique style.

I think that one of the most notable artist with a good shoe collection is DC's own Wale, wearing Nike Sb's, Classic Nikes, Jordans, and other original shoes a lot of people don't have.
The style varies from coast to coast, some would say that rappers on the East Coast and Mid West dress better than rappers from down south or west coast. I agree with that, but there are a lot of people that would disagree with that statement. People usually like what they have grown up to see, i grew up in jersey so of course i would like our style over any other i see, and the same for people from the west coast or mid west, or even the south.

It also varies from genre rap, hip-hop, pop, R&B, Country, Rock, and so on. There are some rappers that dress like rockstars and rockstars that dress like rappers. John Mayer has one of the best shoe collections that i have seen out of any artist.

Curren$y - Smokee Robinson (Mixtape)

Long awaited mixtape from Curren$y has been dropped, February 7th on Super Bowl Sunday. A native of New Orleans known for his lyrics and his beats. Curren$y combines with Dj Don Cannon to present Smokee Robinson the mixtape. Some tracks including feature from Wiz Khalifa, Nipsey Hu$$le, Chip Da Ripper, Big Sean, Fly.Union, and plenty more great artist.

Curren$y's last Album "This Aint No Mixtape" released in 2009. Doing work with Damon Dash and Mos Def making his name known on the rap scene. At the end of this there will probably some links leading you to songs that should be listened to by Curren$y.

Curren$y also known as "The Hot Spitta" has been working on many project that i guess are underground or whoever is involved just wants it to be underwraps for now until they are finished. He has also released some snippets and videos off of 24 hour Karate School, with Mos Def and many other artist. This is something to look forward too.

Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa, and artist from Pittsburgh has been recently making his name known with his catchy hooks and his creative lyrics. Known as one of the best upcoming freshman in the game, and one of my favorite rappers out right now.
He has also recently came out with an Album titled "Deal or no Deal" with Rostrum Records, released on November 24th 2009, which topped the itunes sells. With the first single from the album being "This Plane" feature a great hook and lyrics like all of his songs.
He has also made alot of mixtapes before the album releasing, just to name a few ; "Burn After Rolling" his most recent mixtape, and "How Fly" with Curren$y another great artist. He has recently been making appearances in songs with other artist and touring around doing shows. If you really want to find out more about this artist follow him on twitter or just listen around for him, not long before he is at the top of the game.

Jay-z, Young Jeezy, and Trey Songz = Mob Squad?

Trey Songz: “It’s the Mob Squad. Me, Jay, Jeezy, we plan on working together while we on this tour because the energy we have together when we get around each other is amazing. And like I said, all aspects like that on a record is amazing. Maybe while we out on the road we get it done.”

Songz will definitely be working on his new mixtape and putting it out soon.

“I been in the studio. The first thing I did when I got back in the studio was the Rihanna ‘Hard’ [remix]. I explain how I go hard. As far as music is concerned, the grind is concerned, as far as women are concerned, I go hard. Then I went in and got four or five great records. That’s actually four or five original records. I definitely want to release a mixtape to show people that [the skills] ain’t went nowhere.”

Word has come out about Trey Songz, Jay-z ,and Young Jeezy making music together during or after the tour they will be in together. All three of the artist most recent albums being at the top or close to it on the billboard chart.
Jay-Z's latest album the Blueprint III topped the Billboards in three different categories, U.S. Billboard 200, U.S.Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop album, and U.S. Billboard Top Rap Albums, and numerous national billboard listings and sold .
Trey Songz latest Album "Ready" Peaked in the U.S. Billboard 200 as #3, and peaked U.S. Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop album as #2 and sold 450,700+ albums

And Young Jeezy's latest album "The Recession" topped in a couple of different categories on the Billboard charts. On the U.S. Billboard 200 Peaking at #1, U.S. Billboard Top Rap Albums #1, and U.S. Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums also at #1.
So all three of these artist have shown up for the challenge in there solo careers, but will they sound good as a group?
Personally i would rather wait for another Young Jeezy mixtape than a "Mob Squad track".
